Spring Shades of Green

Posted on February 09, 2018

Winter has been too long for us, not near enough 40 degree weather. Our wood pile is nearly depleted, so springtime can not come too soon. Thankfully, the greenhouse has tiny pansies showing a hint of color and the hellebores are beginning to unfurl a leaf or two. Our perennials are still snuggled under their winter blankets, soon the Hosta of the Year "World Cup" will add a bright sparkling color to your garden. The perennial of the year "Allium Millenium" is a butterfly magnet and is truly a workhorse for the summer garden.
We have given the shop a little TLC and the shelves now hold some fabulous Whichford pottery as well as new glazed pots in Emerald green and shades of St. Thomas blue. A new terracotta group of pots aptly named, Foxglove, should arrive the first of April. A birdbath with stone birds or a low heart shaped bird bowl will turn your shady garden into a birdsong retreat. Our new aged garden bench and metal French garden pots are perfect for your patio and old brick molds and architectural relics make terrific conversation pieces for inside and out. Our realistic fern wreaths will add a touch of Spring to your front door and the scent of our Fresh Rain candle will surely give you Spring Fever! Looking forward to seeing you in March! Naturally, Ricki
